Tate Construction

Directors Barry and Elaine Tate, both of whom are longtime Margaret River residents, are well known and respected members of the local community.

Barry served his apprenticeship in carpentry with large commercial construction company Perkins Builders. He then went on to establish himself as a contract carpentry sub-contractor in his own right, whist studying to achieve his Builders Registration which was awarded in 1999.

As director and construction manager of the company, Barry is responsible for overseeing all safety and general construction activities, where his significant and relevant experience is invaluable. Barry shares the estimating duties when time permits, and he also actively engages clientele, shire authorities and consultants in order to provide the best possible service and outcome for any given project.

Born and bred in Margaret River, Barry has access to the cream of the local trade services and suppliers, which greatly contributes to our success. In addition to our reliable pool of local sub-contractors, Tate Construction also employs staff on a full time basis, including supervisors, carpenters and apprentices and administration staff to ensure that every project is finished to perfection.
